Does this Sound Familiar?
You feel tired no matter how much you sleep.
You think about food more than you’d like.
Your workouts feel harder than they used to.
You’re always hungry, yet afraid eating more will cause weight gain.
You’ve been injured repeatedly or can’t seem to stay healthy long enough to train consistently.
Your menstrual cycle is irregular—or has disappeared altogether.
You feel frustrated because you’re working hard but your body isn’t responding the way it used to.
If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone.
Many active women are unknowingly underfueling their bodies.
What is REDs?
Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (REDs) occurs when your body doesn’t receive enough energy to support both exercise and basic physiological functions.
When energy intake falls short of your body’s needs, it begins conserving energy by reducing resources allocated to important systems throughout the body.
This can affect:
- Recovery
- Athletic performance
- Menstrual function
- Bone health
- Sleep
- Mood
- Metabolism
- Injury risk
- Overall energy levels
Despite the name, REDs doesn’t only affect competitive athletes.
It can occur in any active person who consistently doesn’t consuming enough energy to support their body’s needs.
My Approach
Recovering from REDs isn’t simply about eating more.
It’s about understanding what your body needs, rebuilding trust in its signals, and creating sustainable habits that support both health and performance.
My approach focuses on four key areas:
Fuel
Learn how much energy your body actually needs to support both exercise and everyday life.
Recovery
Restore your body’s ability to recover, adapt, and perform.
Movement
Learn how to train in a way that supports recovery, performance, and long-term health.
Stress
Address the physical and psychological stressors that often contribute to underfueling.
Imagine Feeling Like Yourself Again
Recovery isn’t just about getting your period back or reducing injury risk.
It’s about reclaiming your energy and quality of life.
Imagine:
- Waking up with energy
- Recovering well between workouts
- Feeling confident eating enough
- Training consistently
- Spending less time thinking about food
- Trusting your body’s hunger cues
- Feeling strong in your workouts
- Supporting your health for the long term
